INSIGHT GUIDE PHILIPPINES (CHINESE EDITION)

A new and comprehensive guidebook on the Philippines in Chinese edition is now out in major bookstores all over Taiwan. The book, a translated version of a UK-based publication entitled ˇ§Insight Guides Philippines,ˇ¨ presents both practical travel advice and general understanding about the countryˇ¦s history, culture, institutions and people.

The Insight Guides group publishes best selling visual guide books covering many countries around the world. The Chinese edition of the book was published by the China Times Publishing Company.

The Manila Economic Cultural Office (MECO) and Philippine Department of Tourism plan to donate some books to public libraries and schools to give the public a deeper insight on the Philippines as a travel and business destination for Taiwanese.
