up. To the west lie its Southeast Asian neighbors Singapore, Malaysia
and Thailand. In the south, Indonesia and Brunei complete the Philippines'
South East Asian neighbors, The Philippines' strategic location,

the world, makes it the logical gateway to the 500 million strong
ASEAN market.

Of this, over 11 million work in agriculture, 5 million in industries
and the rest in services.
The Philippines is an investor-friendly destination.
The country offers trade and investment opportunities to satisfy
each and every investor's wish-list. 100 percent equity is allowed;
liberalized and market-oriented foreign exchange policies; strong
and stable capital market and banking system; and a government fully
committed to saferguarding investors' interests.
The country's friendly lifestyle makes it an ideal
second home for expatriates. World-class resorts, golf courses and
other recreational and leisure facilities are found all over the
Philippine Archipelago and available all year round.
The Philippines' 33.3 million highly skilled work
force is geared up to satisfy the many manpower requirement of would-be
investors. The Filipino worker typically is productive, highly motivated
and and eager to learn, proficient in English and cost competitive.
Every year this huge resource pool is replenished by about 400,000
new graduates from universities and colleges. Of this number, about
70,000 would be IT/Computer Science graduate while 100,000 would
have Business Administration degrees.
